When I meet new people and tell them that I’m a healing medium, they ask a host of questions. Do I do parties?  Do I go to people’s houses and do readings? Can I see anyone around them right now?  What do I think about them finding luck or money in the future? When I answer, “No” to their questions, people look at me quizzically and then ask, “We’ll what kind of medium are you?”

The term medium means in the middle, so a medium is a conduit of energy for two or more sources.  I am a healing medium, which means that I am a conduit for energy in a healing setting.  This can be Source energy from the quantum field that is being pulled into the client’s field.  It can also be spirit information from guides or ascended masters for family members to a client in a session.

I don’t give psychic advice because I am aware that everyone has the ability to use their energetic tools and it is just a matter of clearing what is in the way of the frequency, so you can utilize those tools.  I think people should learn to use their abilities and work with their own energy fields to discern what is best for them.  Every human body contains a soul and that soul knows exactly what each person needs to do in this life.  It is the human part, the ego, that gets in the way of listening from the soul. This is why I always say,” What you seek is found in your soul.” I also know that people can heal themselves of anything they choose and again, it is a matter of shifting frequency.  We all have access to the quantum field but we don’t always connect to it. 

During a Soul-Centered Healing Method session.  I work in the energy of my clients helping them clear the root causes of illnesses, disease, trauma, repetitive life patterns, and expired soul agreements.  By addressing the root threads of these manifestations, clients can clear the associated energetic imprints and restore health and balance to the spiritual, emotional, and physical bodies. During the session, I connect to the grid allowing and spirit guides, ascended masters, and discarnate family members to share healing information for the client.  We clear the human imprints, transmute experiences in the Akashic record, integrate the higher self, and align with the birth blueprint.  All of the work is done at the frequency of love in the quantum field and at the end of the session, the client shifts frequencies.

In addition to the healing sessions, I write books about healing and shifting our energy fields and I teach those concepts.  I am a faculty member at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York, at the New York Open Center  in New York City, and in other parts of the world, where translations of my books are available.

My areas of my work on this Earth are contained under and umbrella program that I facilitate called #Mission1122, which is the shifting of the Earth matrix and it’s inhabitants with the frequency of love mainly through the coordinated efforts of the starseeds (code 11) and twin flames (code 22). My healing work directly integrates this mission. When starseeds and twin flames come to the office for healing, they align with their birth blueprints, awaken, and begin their soul mission work. They shift their areas of the matrix with love and help elevate those around them with the frequency of love. I consistently tell my clients, “Always remember who you are and why you are here.”   When we awaken, we remember who we are,  and then the real work begins.   

Outside of teaching and healing sessions, I work in the Earth’s energetic grids helping to clear imprints and shift the frequency in the same way that I assist my clients.  In doing so, I aid in the flow of Divine love that vibrates on the planet and supports the inhabitants. I do this work with all the other grid workers situated on the planet.  This helps shift the collective matrix in the flow of Divine love. 

What kind of medium am I?  I am the kind that assists in facilitating loving energy in whatever way I am called to support the Earth and it’s inhabitants.  There is not a box labeled “Medium” that I can fit into.  I am a conduit of Source energy and I serve in whatever way I am needed.

Many people ask me to explain the difference between psychic abilities and mediumship abilities.  Often the two are lumped into the same category of the occult.  There are differences between the two and they involve the development of the abilities, as well as discerning and communicating with spirits.

Sometimes when people hear the word psychic, it connotes images of someone gazing into a crystal ball predicting the future.  A psychic is someone who can perceive energy beyond the physical senses—utilizing extrasensory perception.  Although precognition is one aspect of psychic ability, in which someone knows something before it happens, it is often the main ability that people associate with psychic awareness.  There are many other psychic abilities.  Psychics utilize any one or all of the following senses:

Clairvoyance – “clear seeing” – People who are clairvoyant can receive mental images of people, places, or situations using their third eyes located in the center of the forehead rather than their physical eyes.

Clairaudience – “clear hearing” –Those with this ability can receive information without the use of physical ears.  This is also referred to as mental telepathy, which is the communication of information through thoughts.

Clairsentience – “clear feeling” – People with this ability can perceive information and psychic impressions through feelings.  They can feel emotions, as well as environmental factors such as heat, cold, though none of those things may be physically present. They are also known as empaths.

Clairscent – “clear smelling”- Those who are open to this ability can smell scents that are not physically present .

Clairgustance – “clear tasting” – People can taste substances without putting anything into their mouths.

Clairtangency – “clear touching” – Those with this ability can hold an object and pick up on the energetic impressions attached to it.  This is also know as psychometry.

Mediumship takes psychic ability a step further.  All mediums are psychic and have the additional abilities of sensing, discerning, and communicating with spirit energy. Some mediums are born with abilities rendering them able to communicate with spirits since they were young children, as has been the case for my children and me.  Other mediums may have developed their abilities over time.

Not all mediums use the same senses because not everyone has developed all psychic senses.  For me, mediumship is very natural.  I don’t enter an altered state to communicate with spirits and I receive information through all of my psychic senses.

Psychic and mediumship abilities are innate components of our spiritual birth right.  Though not all people fully develop their abilities to discern and communicate with all spirits, everyone has the potential to communicate with their own loved ones in spirit through thought, signs, symbols, or dream visits. When we engage our psychic and mediumship abilities, we learn that life  is much more than what we physically perceive and we cross the bridge between the Earth plane  and spirit world.

People always ask if spirits are all around us on the Earth plane.  The answer is “yes” and “no”.  The “yes” part is because spirits are always visiting their loved ones on the Earth plane and spirits are always transitioning to the other side, so there are always spirits here–technically.  The “no” part is because the spirits are not here perminently.  Often they’re just passing through.  Even those who are Earth-bound eventually cross over at some point.  I decided that it was time to do a Question and Answer post about the top ten questions I am most frequently asked. 1.  Do spirits attend their funerals?
Sometimes they do, if they want to help their family and friends with the transition of their passings.

2.  What Are Some Signs Of Spirits?
Spirits are comprised of electromagnetic energy–the same type of energy in our TV, light, and radio waves.  As a result, when spirits are around, their fields may interact and disrupt the above mentioned fields.  The disturbances may manifest as sound not working on the television, flickering of lights, or radio stations losing their frequencies.  These are just a few of the signs of spirits but the url attached to this answer gives greater detail into this answer.   

3.  Why Do Spirits Visit Us?
Spirits can visit the Earth plane for a variety of reasons.  They may help a loved one cross over to the other side.  They may want to show their support of a particular event such as a birth of a child.  There are many reasons why spirits come to visit us on the Earth plane but most often their visits are meant to help us heal.  

4.  Are There Jobs On The Other Side?
On the other side, the souls of our loved ones continue to learn and grow.  Once they have worked through their transitions, they will be assigned jobs.  Their jobs may have something to do with the path the followed on the Earth or they may have something to do with their methods of passing.  

5.  What Is A Medium?
A medium is a person who can discern and communicate with spirits.  

6.  What Happens to the Soul of a Miscarried Baby?
On a spiritual level, a miscarriage is the soul of the child saying, “It is not the right time.”  It does not mean that the right time will never come to fruition.  That soul may choose to come back to the same parents at a later time or it may incarnate to a different set of parents. Many women carry healthy babies to full term after miscarriages.

7.  Why Does God Take Our Loved Ones
God does not take our loved ones from us, nor does God abandon us in our times of sadness.  We are the ones that sometimes shut God out by the darkness of our grief.  God is benevolent, loves us unconditionally, and allows our loved ones to still be with us in spirit form.  This is a magnificent gift, if we are willing to accept it.  Our loved ones are only a thought away from us. We just need to unwrap this gift of spirituality from God.  When we open it, we find the spirits of our loved ones waiting there for us. 

8. Is there a Spiritual Significance of Ringing In The Ears?
As you know from reading this blog, I hold the belief that all physical manifestations of illness and disease are rooted in an underlying spiritual or emotional issue. If we have ear issues, we need to ask ourselves, “What are we trying not to hear?” When we address the underlying root causes of tinnitus, we can release and heal the condition from our energies. If you experience ringing in your ears, ask yourself who might be trying to communicate with you?  It could be a family member or perhaps a highly evolved being such as an angelic energy.  If you psychic shield yourself, you will be protected from any lower vibrational energy.  Sit for a moment quietly and see who is trying to reach out to you.  When you release your fears, and open your ears, you may find a message of love and hope waiting for you. 

9. What Happens to the Soul of a Suicide Victim?
Once someone reaches out to a suicide victim and helps him through the death state, the soul can begin healing.  In my experience, suicide victims go to a healing place on the other side.  They’re there for as long as they need healing.  Some souls choose not to heal.  They reject their guides and they literally roam in darkness.  But God is benevolent and the door to healing is always open, when they are ready. 

10.  Are Mediumship and Psychic Abilities Inherited?
These abilities are innate parts of our soul make-up from the Divine.  Whether we develop them or not depends on us and our aptitudes to release the fears that bind us.  In families where there are several generations that have developed abilities, it is not that the abilities are inherited but rather the abilities are accepted and each generation chooses to embrace them.

The concept of mediumship elicits mixed responses in people.  Some really understand it, others are cautiously intrigued, and some people blatantly deny the existence of spirits or the fact that the living can perceive and communicate with them.  As a result, I discuss my abilities with trepidation, whenever I meet new people.

I have come to realize that in many cases, mediumship makes people uncomfortable people they don’t know much about it.  For some, medumship falls into the category of mysterious unknown things hidden behind a dark grey curtain along with the possible existence of BigFoot and Nessie.  There are certain belief systems that involve mediumship and have helped provide information and clarification about spirit communication.  Spiritualism is a science and religion of continuous life based on communication with spirit through mediumship.  Spiritism is another science and religion that also holds the belief in continuous life via spirit communication and mediumship.  It is more scientific than Spiritualism because it has provided in-depth, extensive research in mediumship, the various types of spirits, and spirit communication.

Mediumship is the ability to discern and communicate with spirits.  All mediums are psychic–meaning they can perceive energy beyond the physical senses.  Mediumship takes psychic ability a step further.  Mediums can sense spirit energy, discern it, and communicate with it. Some mediums are born with abilities rendering them to communicate with spirits since they were babies.  This has been the case for me and my children.  Other mediums may have developed their abilities over time.

Mediums use their psychic senses to perceive spirit energy.  Not all mediums use the same senses because not everyone has developed all psychic senses.  For me, mediumship is very natural.  I do not enter an altered state to communicate with spirits.  I am fully conscious and can receive information through all of my psychic senses. Mediums generally use the following psychic senses in communicating with spirits:

Clairvoyance – “clear seeing” – Mediums with this ability can receive mental images from spirit.  They can describe what the spirit looked like physically.  Spirits will communicate clairvoyantly with the medium by sending pictures of places or symbols. Mediums perceive these images using their third eyes located in the center of the forehead rather than their physical eyes. Sometimes I get a visual image of what a person looked like in psychical life and I can communicate that to my client.  I may also get a visual image of a house, location, other people etc. that can be shared during a session.

Clairaudience – “clear hearing” – Mediums with this ability can receive information from the spirit realm without the use of physical ears.  This is also referred to as mental telepathy, which is the communication of information through thoughts.  Most mediums use this ability. When I use this ability with spirits, they communicate information and details about their lives on Earth through thought.  I may ask additional questions of them using my mind and they respond through thought.

Clairsentience – “clear feeling” – Mediums with this ability can perceive information and impressions through feelings.  They can feel emotions, as well as environmental factors such as heat or cold, though those things may not be physically present. With this ability mediums can feel a method of passing.  For example, I may feel tremendous pressure in my chest and then an explosion of energy in the heart.  This is a spirit’s way of communicating a passing through a heart attack.  Sometimes, I feel extreme nausea that I also refer to as chemo-nausea.  When I feel this way in a session, I know I’m communicating with someone who received chemotherapy and died as a result of a terminal illness such as cancer.

Clairscent – “clear smelling”- Mediums with this ability can smell scents without the use of the physical nose.  Often mediums will smell a certain perfume or food scent that is connected to a person that has passed.  In a mediumship session for a friend, a grandmother came through and the smell of sweet peppermint tickled my nose. My friend said his grandmother always had peppermint candies in her pocket for her grandchildren.  Sometimes my maternal grandmother, Nanny, visits in spirit form. She carries the scent of Dior Poison, which was her favorite perfume.

Clairgustance – “clear tasting” – With this sense, mediums can taste substances without putting anything into their mouths. For example, a medium might taste chocolate during a mediumship session.  Sometimes I get a strong medicine or metallic taste in my mouth during a session.  This lets me know that the person was on some type of medication at the end of life on Earth.

There are many reasons why spirits communicate with us.  They often send us signs, though we may not be open to receiving them.  Spirits may use one, a combination of, or all methods to communicate.  Some may communicate through clairaudience and clairvoyance.  Others may choose clairvoyance, clairscent and clairsentience. The choice in methods of communication is actually two-fold depending on the medium and also the spirit involved. Not all mediums have fully developed abilities. This is also the case for spirits on the other side. If this is the case with the medium, the spirit will send the information in whichever method is best for the medium, IE which ever ability is the strongest. If the medium has all abilities developed, then the spirit will send the information in which ever way is best for the spirit. As spirits evolve on the other side, they’re able to send information in a variety of ways, thus with a fully developed medium, a fully developed spirit can send information that will be perceived by all of the medium’s senses. A newer spirit may only be able to send images etc.

Mediums are on the Earth plane to facilitate communication with spirit.  They’re also here to open the door for those so those in physical form can take the steps to communicating with their passed-on loves ones.  Maybe overtime, as people become comfortable with mediumship, they’ll release their fears and open to it.  Only then will we lift the opaque curtain that hangs over mediumship.  As we do this, we’ll illuminate and reveal mediumship at a truly Divine tool enabling communication with our friends and loved ones in spirit form.

The question of whether mediumship and psychic abilities are inherited or not is one that I’m frequently asked.  I refer to my skills as abilities rather than gifts and always clarify this distinction, in my discussions with others.  The term gift indicates a special talent that might not be given to everyone.  Since I hold the belief that psychic abilities are God-given and part of our birth rite, the term ability seems more appropriate, as implies a skill which can be developed.  At a first glance, it may appear that mediumship and psychic abilities run in families, but if we look a little deeper, we find something different.

I have mentioned in the past that we have 13 Reiki Masters and healers in our family. We also have three generations of psychic mediums from my maternal great grandmother down to my children.  As a young woman, my great grandmother, Grannie, used to pass a three story brick apartment building with a large glass front door, on her walk home from her bus stop on 3rd Street in Newark, NJ.  Everyday, the glass door revealed the same a little boy sliding down a wide wooden banister atop a multi-level stairwell. One night as she passed the building, there was a tenant sitting outside on the building’s porch.  She asked the man where the parents of that little boy were, because she saw him sliding down the banister ever night, when he should have been in bed.  The man looked perplexed and explained there wasn’t a little boy in the building.  Grannie stood and pointed to the boy she saw everyday with the dark brown hair and began describing the boys physical attributes.  The man explained that there had been a five-year-old boy, who fit that description and had lived in that building.  The boy had died, when he slid down the banister, fell off, and broke his neck.

I have been able to see, hear, and feel spirits as long as I can remember.  My parents tell me that I used to speak of people in my room at the young age of two.  Both of my children have been able to see, hear, and feel spirits since the age of two. They can point out passed-on family members and name them in pictures, though the relatives left the Earth long before my daughter and son’s births.  If you look at our family, you would think that the abilities are inherited and carried down the family line.

But, we don’t know what the abilities were like before my great grandmother and the abilities skipped over the generations of my maternal grandmother and my father.  So how can they be inherited if they skip generations? These abilities are innate parts of our soul make-up from the Divine.  Whether we develop them or not depends on us and our aptitudes to release the fears that bind us.

My children grow up in a home where communicating with spirits is quite normal.  If they’re sick, they put their hands on themselves and balance their energies.  They’re learning to use their mediumship and psychic skills as assets to facilitate life on Earth. Many young children see spirits of passed-on loved ones.  If they grow up in an environment that does not nurture their openness and they’re told that it is wrong to perceive these energies, they’ll close down their awareness like catepillers squelched before they spin their chrysalises.  My children have very little fear about spirit energy.  If an energy emits an uncomfortable vibe, they tell it, “Go away!” If there are any issues, they bring me in and I clear it.  I also clear our energy and home daily, so spiritual intrusions are rarely a problem.  Once someone in the family line fully embraces the abilities, other souls incarnate with that same openness.  My grandchildren will also be mediums, psychics, and healers.

Our abilities lie dormant in our souls until we choose to engage them. When we shed our fears like butterflies emerging from chrysalises, we open ourselves to the magnificent energetic world around us. As we spread our wings and embrace our abilities, we can fly through the world peacefully enjoying the sweet nectar of life.

This interesting question has a contradictory answer of  “yes” and “no.”  Everyone has the capability to communicate with their passed-on loved ones and friends.  It is a matter of opening to the energy and connecting.  But, not everyone will be open enough to communicate with all energies, including those of complete strangers.  In my experience, mediums are on the Earth to help people open to the experience of communication with spirit.  This type of communication requires a connection to the Divine, as well as to the physically deceased. Without a connection to God–regardless of religion, one cannot send or receive information.  God is the airway through which the communication waves pass. Communication with spirit is a God-given ability for everyone and we just need to fine-tune the figurative radio station to connect.

Can anyone act as a medium for their deceased family and friends?  “Yes,” everyone has this potential.  Will everyone open to perceive all the energy around them?  Each person needs to answer this question for himself?  Are you ready to take the journey to communication with spirit?  If you are, you have come to the right place.  Let the journey begin.
