When people transition from physical form to spirit form, there are always loved ones and soul group members in spirit, who arrive to help cross them over.  I discuss this this in my first book, Discovering the Medium Within and also in my second book, Discovering the Healer Within.  Some of us may have seen this in our own personal lives, as a family member is getting ready to pass and they mention seeing loved ones that have left the Earth.  On a human-level, we are not always prepared for these transitions of our loved ones but on a Divine-level, it is accounted for and there are souls assigned to help with this process. No one ever dies alone. 

Currently, there are many people on the Earth dealing with the losses of loved ones through the Coronavirus pandemic.  In addition to losing loved ones, they also have to cope with the emotional wounds of not being able to say final goodbyes and not being able to have any physical contact.  It is heartbreaking for all those involved and we can assist them in their healing collectively by sending the energy of love.

In time, they will have their opportunities to connect with their loved ones through dream visits, signs, and telepathic communication.  Everyone has the ability to communicate with his or her own loved ones in spirit; it is part of your spiritual tool set.  Death is only that of the physical body; the soul is eternal and the connections to our loves ones are always there for us.

I know it is not easy for people to watch loved ones take their last breath and not be able to hold their hands and tell them that they are loved. For the family members on the Earth, you can say what you need to say through your thoughts to your loved ones; you can communicate beyond verbalization.  Though you cannot be by them when they leave, there are souls of passed-on loved ones by their bedsides helping them.   When you are ready, you will get the sign or symbol to know they are with you.  When they cross over, you never lose them.  They are changing form from physical to spirit and are always connected to you; that soul connection never dies.

Sudden passings of our loved ones can jolt us whether they occur by an accident or some unexpected physical condition.  When our loved ones exit abruptly, we’re left on the Earth with many loose ends that need to be tied. We may feel that their time had been cut short and there were things we wanted to do with them or we may have unanswered questions.  Often we miss the opportunity to say goodbye or perhaps to say I love you one last time.

My maternal grandfather, Pops, passed suddenly. Our relationship had been fractured a bit when he remarried about five years before his passing.  His new wife didn’t care much for his grandchildren. As a result, visits were less frequent and we lost a bit of our closeness.

Late one evening, my mother got a call saying Pops had been rushed to the hospital with a brain aneurysm and was on life support. She raced to be by his side and stayed for several hours.  My mother left the hospital around 2:00am to get a little bit of sleep. She headed back to the hospital around 7:30 am once again to say a final goodbye. What she didn’t know was that Pops’ new wife already ordered him off the life support earlier that morning and my mother missed him in transit.

Shortly after my mother left the house, my father got the call from a neurologist saying that Pops’ condition had worsened and the family needed to make a decision.  Apparently, the doctor was unaware of the wife’s order to take him off life support.  My father urged the doctor to keep him on life support until we arrived.  Then my father called me and said we should go up to the hospital to say goodbye.

As I hung up the phone tears streamed down my cheeks and I felt Pops right there next to me.  His energy vibrated in warm golden glow. “You know it didn’t have to he like this,” I said tearfully.  He said he was sorry for the way he hurt the family and that he loved all of us so much.  I told him that I loved him and then he was gone.

When my father arrived to take me to the hospital, I told him about the visit and that I knew Pops had already died.  He insisted that it was some type of mistake because the hospital was waiting for us to arrive before they would take him off life support.   Ironically, when we arrived at the hospital we found my youngest brother, Kyle, had been there for a couple of hours.  He decided to visit Pops at the hospital early that morning because had a feeling something was wrong. He walked into the room right after they pulled him off life support and found a Catholic priest giving Pops his Last Rites.

When my father and I stepped into the room, we knew Pops had been gone for a couple of hours.  The room felt lifeless with his cold body propped up in the bed. The stark white sheets accentuated his pale-grayish skin.  My mother sat sobbing in a green vinyl chair positioned in the room’s corner.  I was grateful he came to visit me right after he died because the visit to the hospital brought no comfort.

Often our family members arrive by our sides during sudden passings, but we aren’t always aware of these visits.  Our loved ones come to say goodbye and wish us love before they cross over.  If by chance, we miss this comforting visit, there is something we can do to ease our pain and communicate those final words and thoughts to our loved ones. We can write a simple letter and read it out loud.

Write A Letter
Write a letter containing all the things you didn’t get to say to your loved one. Make sure to convey how much you love and miss him.  Sit in a quiet place and read the letter aloud to your loved one. Know that he can hear every word of your letter.

The subject of suicide has come up in my mediumship work.  It’s important to make the distinction between suicide and a death in which someone overdosed on a substance.  Accidental overdose deaths are not necessarily suicides.  The distinction is in the intent.  In the case of a suicide, one consciously decides to take one’s life.

My understanding of what happens to a soul following a suicide is based on experience.  People commit suicide for a variety of reasons, but most involve deep-seeded emotions.  They can feel angry, depressed, lost, confused, and lonely just to name a few of them.  Often after their passings, suicide victims remain in this emotional state until someone reaches out to them.

In Hinduism, there is a Sanskrit word dharma one of it’s meanings can be translated into “life purpose”.  When one does not know or follow the dharma, disease can manifest.  Although I’m Catholic, I believe the concept of life purpose is universal to all religions.  We’re all here for very specific purposes.  When we take our own lives, our purposes on Earth remain unfulfilled.  In most cases, beyond the deep-seeded emotions of suicide victims, a disconnect in the life purpose exists.

People can reach out to suicide victims through prayer, loving thoughts, or by verbally calling out to them.  Once someone reaches out to them and helps them through the death state, the soul can begin healing.  In my experience, suicide victims go to a healing place on the other side.  They’re there for as long as they need healing.  Some souls choose not to heal.  They reject their guides and they literally roam in darkness.  But God is benevolent and the door to healing is always open, when they are ready.

What can we do on Earth to help those experiencing suicide?  First, you can bubble your energy, ground  and tunnel yourself in light. The energy of suicide is cloaked in darkness and low vibrational energy, which can spread. Make sure to protect yourself from any dark impressions by bubbling and tunneling light.  Then you can call out to the person who has committed suicide.  Tell them,”Get up and step into the light.” Then ground your energy, and send the bubble away. Thank your guides  for helping you in the process and thank God for the ability to help others.  When we help others, we grow closer to each other and to God.

If you know any people on the Earth touched by suicide.  Send them loving thoughts and healing.  Pray for their emotional scars to heal.  Suicide leaves people in darkness and sadness.  Sending light can help the healing process.

In an earlier post, we discussed the loss of a child.  A miscarriage is a different sort of loss. On a physical level, it is the loss of an unborn baby.  Parents deal with many of the same emotions of grief as that of any other loss involving a child.  I have endured this loss a few times in this lifetime and it can cause a host of emotions to surge such as grief, guilt, and even failure.

Mothers in particular often wonder what happens to the soul of that unborn child.  In my experience through mediumship, I have learned that the soul of an unborn child returns to the place of origination.  On a spiritual level, a miscarriage is the soul of the child saying, “It is not the right time.”  It does not mean that the right time will never come to fruition.  That soul may choose to come back to the same parents at a later time or it may incarnate to a different set of parents. Many women carry healthy babies to full term after miscarriages.

Miscarriage can torment our hearts and emotions, but if we understand that the soul of the unborn child resides with God until it is ready to return to the Earth, we can find peace in its decision.  Perhaps over time, we will also find clarity and understanding in that soul’s choice.
